What are the steps I have to follow by structuring of my documentation for the certification audit?
Proof the below mentioned pre-conditions (through a professional profile, scans of studying certificates, scans of certificates of experiences etc.)
Fulfill each single point mentioned in the original norm text EN 15038 in written (The original document will be sent upon starting the certification process).
Create the different sections following the related paragraph No of the norm
Create a clear, logically and professional document structure (Index, layout, graphs, pictures etc.)
Send your draft upon finishing for further support if needed
Your certification process starts in this phase and your clients can find your name listed on our databases as “under certification process”

What are the pre-conditions for the Certification Audit of individuals (OPE)?
formal higher education in translation / interpretation
(recognised degree);
equivalent qualification in any other subject, plus a minimum of
two years of documented experience in translating / interpreting;
at least five years of documented professional experience in
translating / interpreting
After fullfilling those pre-conditions we have to arrange for an
interview.
The certification scheme and all other official forms can only be sent after receiving the
application form and approving it by the Austrian Standards

What is the role of a Country Representative?
The CR (Country Representative) represents his/her country; he/she leads the country team and is an auditor, moderator and IQ-Member at the same time.
What is a Country Team?
A Country Team consists of all Country Auditors, Country Moderators and Country IQ-Team Members.
Who can become a Country Auditor?
He/She is a certified auditor according to EN 15038; he/she conducts audits to certify new applicants according to EN 15038.
What is a Country Moderator?
A Country Moderator moderates the Country Forum, supports and answers questions of new applicants in their relevant country.
What is the main function of the IQ-Team Member?
He/She translates parts of the website into his/her country's language.
How to become a Lead Auditor according to EN 15038?
A Lead Auditor is a qualified and certified auditor who has in-depth knowledge of EN 15038 and experience with translation services.
What is an IQ-Management Representative?
He/she is an appointed manager who represents IQ-Translator in public. He/she receives the incoming requests on memberships and certification; after a first evaluation the IQ Management Representative asks the applicant to complete any outstanding details and then forwards the file to the Expert Committee.
What is an Expert Committee?
The Expert Committee is the committee responsible for evaluating the applications of new members and for evaluating the applications of certification. In both cases the committee needs 1-14 days to deliver the acceptance or rejection report to the IQ-Management Representative, who answers the incoming requests on certification or membership.
What are the acceptance criteria to become a new member?
Completing the membership application, delivering all documents, payment of the membership fees. IQ-Translator accepts only qualified and certified members, or those qualified but still undergoing the certification process.
What are the acceptance criteria to certify a new member?
Completing the membership application, delivering all documents, payment of the membership fees. Completing the application of certification, payment of certification fees and finally closing the certification process successfully.
